Popular Committees of Palestine, West Bank
Together We Can Break The Siege Of Gaza!
31/12/09 Popular Demonstrations In The West Bank

The Popular Committees of the West Bank are calling for non-violent popular demonstrations through out the West Bank of Palestine on Thursday December 31st, 2009. This is the one-year anniversary of Israel’s Operation Cast Lead massacre on the people of Gaza, when 1400 people were killed and some 5000 were injured during the 22 day assault. These demonstrations are happening in solidarity with the marches in Gaza as well as numerous international actions.

“We are calling on the people of Palestine to work together to end the occupation,” says Iyad Burnat, “We still live under the occupation and we need to resist together, only by uniting the resistance can succeed. We remember what happened on this terrible day one year ago, if our blood cannot unite us, what can?”

We are demanding an immediate lift on the blockade of Gaza, which has left 1.5 million people with inadequate food, water, health care, electricity, sanitation, and education. We support the Gaza Freedom March call to action.
