Le forze israeliane arrestano 14 palestinesi nella Cisgiordania occupata

Le forze israeliane hanno arrestato almeno 14 palestinesi in tutto la West Bank occupata durante i raid all’alba di Giovedi, i locali e le fonti israeliane lo hanno confermato.

Durante le incursioni nel nord occupato della West Bank, nel villaggio di Qabatiya vicino Jenin, le forze israeliane hanno arrestato almeno sette palestinesi. I sette sono stati identificati come Alaa Hathnawi Zakarneh, Ahmad Abd al-Hamid Zakarneh, Dirgham Maher Zakarneh, Muhammad Farouq Kamil, Mahmoud Bassam Kamil, Ahmad Kamil, e Ahmad Lubani. Qabatiya ha visto scontri intensi con le forze israeliane, dopo che tre ragazzi dello stesso villaggio sono stati uccisi per aver portato un attacco che ha provocato la morte di un’ufficiale 19enne della Polizia israeliana di Frontiera e il ferimento della sua collega. Dopo l'attacco mortale, le forze israeliane hanno bloccato tutti gli ingressi del villaggio per diversi giorni prima di sollevare l'assedio. Le autorità israeliane hanno anche annunciato che tutti i permessi di lavoro israeliani di quelli che vivono nel villaggio sarebbero stati confiscati.

Un portavoce dell'esercito israeliano ha confermato solo sei arresti nel distretto di Jenin, uno dei quali è stato arrestato perchè sospettato di essere affiliato ad Hamas. Nella vicina Nablus, forze israeliane hanno fatto irruzione in edifici in costruzione nel villaggio di Beit Iba e arrestato Raef Mahmoud Aqel. Un portavoce dell'esercito israeliano ha confermato due arresti nel distretto di Nablus.

Nel villaggio di Beit Duqqu, nord-ovest di Gerusalemme nella Cisgiordania occupata, le forze israeliane hanno arrestato tre palestinesi, due dei quali sono stati identificati come Naji Bassam Daoud e Muhammad Ismail Rayyan, entrambi di 17 anni.

Durante il raid, le forze israeliane hanno perquisito diverse abitazioni e sparato e ferito tre giovani con il fuoco vivo, mentre gli scontri scoppiavano nel paese.

Nel sud occupato di Hebron, le forze israeliane hanno arrestato un uomo identificato come Bassam Awad durante le incursioni nel campo profughi di al-Fawwar. Le forze israeliane hanno anche emesso un invito ufficiale ad un ex prigioniero Sayyaf Kamal Abu Teimeh di presentarsi per un interrogatorio. Nel villaggio di Ithna vicino a Hebron, le forze israeliane hanno fatto irruzione nell'ufficio della società palestinese della Mezzaluna Rossa. I soldati avrebbe detto che stavano perquisendo l'ufficio alla ricerca di ricercati palestinesi. Un portavoce dell'esercito israeliano ha detto che due palestinesi sono stati arrestati a Hebron, e ha aggiunto che altri tre sono stati arrestati a Ramallah e un'altra a Betlemme.

Israeli forces detain 14 Palestinians across occupied West Bank

Israeli forces detained at least 14 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank during raids on Thursday, locals and Israeli sources said.

In the northern occupied West Bank district of Jenin's Qabatiya village, Israeli forces detained at least seven Palestinians during raids. 

The seven were identified as Alaa Hathnawi Zakarneh, Ahmad Abd al-Hamid Zakarneh, Dirgham Maher Zakarneh, Muhammad Farouq Kamil, Mahmoud Bassam Kamil, Ahmad Kamil, and Ahmad Lubani. 

Qabatiya has seen intense clashes with Israeli forces, after three teens from the village were killed after committing an attack that resulted in the death of a 19-year-old Israeli Border Police officer and injury of another. 

Following the deadly attack, Israeli forces blockaded all the village's entrances for several days before lifting the siege. Israeli authorities have also announced that all Israeli work permits from those living in the village would be confiscated. 

An Israeli army spokesperson only confirmed six detentions in the Jenin district, one of whom was detained for being a suspected Hamas affiliate. 

In nearby Nablus, Israeli force raided buildings under construction in Beit Iba village and detained Raef Mahmoud Aqel.

In Beit Duqqu village, northwest of Jerusalem in the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces detained three Palestinians, two of whom were identified as Naji Bassam Daoud and Muhammad Ismail Rayyan, both 17 years old.

During the raid, Israeli forces ransacked several homes and shot and injured three youths with live fire, as clashes broke out in the village. 

In the southern occupied West Bank district of Hebron, Israeli forces detained a man identified as Bassam Awad during raids in al-Fawwar refugee camp.

Israeli forces also issued an official summons to former prisoner Sayyaf Kamal Abu Teimeh to come in for questioning. 

In Hebron's Ithna village, Israeli forces raided the Palestinian Red Crescent society's office. Forces allegedly said they were searching the office looking for "wanted Palestinians." 

An Israeli army spokesperson said two Palestinians were detained in Hebron, and added that three more were detained in Ramallah and another in Bethlehem. 

In Salfit village, Israeli forces and settlers raids Kafl Haris village and performed religious rituals at a historical tomb in the area. No detentions were reported. 

Prisoners' rights group Addameer estimates that around 40 percent of the Palestinian male population in the West Bank and East Jerusalem has been detained at some point.

Israeli forces detain 12 Palestinians across West Bank

Israeli forces detained at least 12 Palestinians in multiple predawn raids across the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, Israeli and Palestinian sources said.

Clashes broke out in Duheisha refugee camp south of Bethlehem when Israeli soldiers stormed the camp firing live and rubber-coated bullets. Locals said that Palestinians threw stones and improvised explosive devices at the troops.

A number of homes were ransacked, and Israeli forces detained three Palestinians, identified as Muhammad Zawahra, Mahmoud Swetie and Ali al-Tous.

Locals said that Israeli forces also tore down a poster near the camp's main entrance bearing a message in Arabic and Hebrew for an Israeli intelligence officer referred to as "Nidal," said to be responsible for Duheisha, that read: "To Nidal and his soldiers, Duheisha stones welcome you. Your burial ground will be here."

Palestinian sources identified at least another nine Palestinians detained overnight -- Luqman Attoun, Musab Shehadah, Basel Turshan, Rajab Mutair, Muhammad Mutair, Atef Mutair, Naseem Mutair, Muhammad Hammad, and Abdul-Salam Abu al-Hayja.

An Israeli army spokesperson said that Israeli forces detained 10 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank overnight Wednesday, including one in Jenin district, one in Ramallah, six in Bethlehem, and two in Hebron, all for "illegal activities."

Prisoners' rights group Addameer estimates that around 40 percent of the Palestinian male population in the West Bank and East Jerusalem has been detained at some point.
