L’ auto immolazione di una donna tibetana in Zoege di Tenzin Monlam
Un'anziana donna tibetana e madre di cinque figli, dal villaggio Dotsa nella contea di Zoege, si è immolata ed è morta il 23 marzo nella Prefettura autonoma di Ngaba e Qiang, per protestare contro l’occupazione cinese del Tibet. A causa della grave repressione sulle comunicazioni con il mondo esterno, la protesta di Sonam Tso è arrivato nel mondo libero più tardi.
E’ stato riferito dalle fonti che, Sonam Tso, nei suoi 50 anni, si è data fuoco nei pressi del monastero di Sera Dzoege. "Un giovane monaco la sentì chiamare fuori per il ritorno del Dalai Lama e la libertà per il Tibet mentre bruciava" una fonte RFA ha detto in condizione di anonimato.
La fonte ha aggiunto anche il marito di Tso e il monaco hanno tentato di spegnere l'incendio. Il monaco Tsultrim, zio di Tso, l’ha portata all'interno del monastero. In seguito è stata messa in un veicolo per essere trasportata in un ospedale, ma è morta prima di lasciare il monastero.
La polizia locale ha arrestato Tsultrim per otto giorni, per discutere l'incidente con altre persone. E' stato anche costretto a cancellare le foto che aveva preso della protesta di Tso. La fonte ha anche detto che il marito Kalsang Gyaltsen è stato chiamato tre volte per essere interrogato dopo l'incidente.
Questo è il secondo caso di auto-immolazione in Tibet quest'anno dopo Kalsang Wangdu, nella foto sopra, un monaco di Retsokha del Monastero Aryaling che si è immolato il 29 febbraio nella Prefettura autonoma di Kardze.
Allo stesso modo, Dorjee Tsering, 16enne, nella foto sopra, si è dato fuoco in Herbertpur, un paese vicino a Dehradun il 29 febbraio ed è stato portato all’ospedale Safdarjung per le cure, ma è morto dopo tre giorni, il 3 marzo.

News emerge of self immolation by Tibetan woman in Zoege By Tenzin Monlam
An elderly Tibetan woman and a mother of five from Dotsa village in Zoege County has reportedly self-immolated herself and died on March 23 in Ngaba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture to protest Chinese rule in Tibet. Due to severe clampdown on communication with the outside world, the new of Sonam Tso’s protest arrived in the free world a bit late.
Sonam Tso, in her 50s, had reportedly set herself on fire near Dzoege’s Sera Monastery, sources say, confirming that the restriction on communication has led to the news arriving late.
“A young monk heard her call out for the return of the Dalai Lama and for freedom for Tibet as she burned,” an RFA source said on condition of anonymity.
The source also added Tso’s husband and the monk tired to put out the fire. Tsultrim, Tso’s monk uncle brought her inside the monastery. She was later put into a vehicle to be taken to a hospital, but she died before leaving the monastery.
The local Police detained Tsultrim for eight days for discussing the incident with other people. He was also forced to delete the photos he had taken of Tso’s protest.
The source also said that her husband Kalsang Gyaltsen was called in for questioning three times after the incident.
This is the second case of self-immolation inside Tibet this year after Kalsang Wangdu, a monk of Retsokha Aryaling Monastery self-immolated on February 29 in Kardze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.
Similarly, Dorjee Tsering (16) set himself on fire in Herbertpur town near Dehradun on February 29 and was taken to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment but passed away after three days on March 3.
