Quali effetti psicologici hanno il rumore degli spari e delle esplosioni sui bambini?

- Il suono di spari ed esplosioni causano ai bambini una grande paura per un lungo periodo. Nervosismo a scuola e a casa, così come l'atmosfera generale causa ai bambini soffereze e disturbi. In tali casi, la famiglia gioca il ruolo maggiore.

Che dire delle immagini di distruzione e dei cadaveri trasmessi dai media televisivi, dopo gli attentati?

- Bambini e adolescenti sono i più colpiti dalle scene di violenza. I bambini memorizzano immagini violente nei loro ragionamenti che possono essere successivamente espresse attraverso atti violenti. Queste immagini possono anche rimanere all'interno dei bambini e causare crisi psicologiche a causa del timore che essi possano affrontare episodi di violenza simili a quelle che vedono in televisione, come i corpi smembrati. In questi casi, il bambino diventa introverso e chiude fuori il mondo esterno.

In che misura il disturbo sofferto dai genitori si riflette sui sentimenti e sul comportamento dei bambini?

- Oggi è molto importante che i genitori rimangano incrollabili, che il bambino li vedaa come un esempio di forza. Se appaiono deboli e instabili si frantuma l'immagine mentale che il bambino ha disegnato di loro (lo scudo protettivo) provocando una crisi psicologica, uno stato di nervosismo e sentimenti di insicurezza.

What psychological effects do the sound of gunfire and explosions have on children?

- The sound of gunfire and explosions cause children great fear over a long period. Nervousness at school and at home, as well as the general atmosphere all cause children to suffer disorders. In such cases, the family plays the greatest role.

What about the images of destruction and dead bodies broadcasted by televised media after bombings?

- Children and adolescents are the ones most affected by scenes of violence. Children store violent images in their imaginations which can later be expressed through violent acts. These images can also remain inside children and cause psychological crises due to the fear that they might face similar violent events to the ones they see on television, such as their bodies being dismembered. In these cases, the child becomes withdrawn and shuts out the outside world.

To what extent does the disturbance suffered by parents reflect on the feelings and behavior of children?

-  It is very important for parents to remain unshaken today, as the child sees them as an example of strength. If they appear weak and unstable they will shatter the mental picture the child has drawn of them (the protective shield) causing a psychological crisis, a state of nervousness and feelings of insecurity.
