Le forze israeliane arrestano quattro bambini a Gerusalemme Est
Le forze israeliane hanno arrestato ieri quattro bambini palestinesi nella Gerusalemme Est occupata, mentre tornavano dalle loro scuole sostenendo che avevano lanciato pietre contro un autobus israeliano. Un testimone oculare ha detto che i soldati israeliani hanno arrestato i quattro bambini fuori dalla Porta di Damasco nel centro di Gerusalemme. I passanti si fecero attorno ai soldati nel tentativo di contrastare l'arresto, ma i soldati chiamavano un'unità speciale sotto copertura per disperdere la folla, poi hanno portato i bambini ad una stazione di polizia a Gerusalemme, ha aggiunto il testimone oculare. La polizia israeliana ha dichiarato che i bambini avevano lanciato pietre contro un autobus di linea israeliano nella zona della Porta di Damasco e che sono stati portati in una stazione di polizia israeliana a Salah Al-Din Street. Secondo la dichiarazione, i bambini compresi tra 10-11 anni, viveono nel quartiere di Al-Tur a Gerusalemme est.
Le forze israeliane hanno sparato anche bombe sonore verso i bambini delle scuole a Silwan, Al-Tur, Al-Issawiya e Jabal Al-Mukabbir.
La Knesset israeliana ha recentemente approvato una legge per consentire ai lanciatori di pietre palestinesi di essere condannati a 20 anni di carcere, mentre un gruppo di adolescenti palestinesi si trovano ad affrontare 25 anni di carcere per 25 capi di imputazione per "tentato omicidio" uno per ogni pietra che si dice abbiano gettato.

Israeli forces arrest four children in East Jerusalem
Israeli forces yesterday arrested four Palestinian children from occupied East Jerusalem as they returned from their schools claiming they threw stones at an Israeli bus. An eyewitness said the Israeli soldiers arrested the four children outside Damascus Gate in downtown Jerusalem. Passers-by gathered around the soldiers in an attempt to thwart the arrest, but the soldiers called an undercover special unit to disperse the masses then took the children to a police station in Jerusalem, the eyewitness added. Video posted on social networking site Facebook showed the arrest of the four children who carried their school bags on their way back from school. The children appeared in the video crying and screaming as the Israeli soldiers arrested them. Israeli police claimed in a statement that the children threw stones at an Israeli public bus in the Damascus Gate area and that they were taken to an Israeli police station in Salah Al-Din Street in the city. According to the statement, the children range between 10-11 years old and live in Al-Tur neighbourhood in East Jerusalem. Israeli forces yesterday also fired sound bombs at school children in Silwan, Al-Tur, Al-Issawiya and the Jabal Al-Mukabbir. The Israeli Knesset recently passed a bill to allow Palestinian stone-throwers to be sentenced to 20 years imprisonment, while a group of Palestinian teenagers are facing 25 years imprisonment for 25 counts of "attempted murder" - one for each stone they allegedly threw. |
