22 uccisi in un attentato a moschea in Nigeria

Due femmine Shahid* si sono fatte esplodere all'interno e all'esterno di una moschea affollata a Maiduguri.

I funzionari di soccorso nigeriani dicono che due attentatori donne hanno ucciso almeno 22 fedeli in un attacco contro una moschea. L'attacco è avvenuto alla periferia della città nord-orientale di Maiduguri, il luogo di nascita del gruppo armato Boko Haram. Abdul Mohammed del Emergency Management Agency di Stato ha dichiarato all'Associated Press che altre 17 persone sono rimaste ferite nelle esplosioni di Mercoledì mattina. Il Coordinatore del gruppo Vigilante per la Difesa Civile, Abba Aji, dice che un attentatore ha si è fatta esplodere all'interno della moschea e la seconda all’esterno mentre i sopravvissuti cercavano di fuggire. Aji dice che la moschea è in Umarari alla periferia della città che è oggi il Centro di Comando Militare Nigeriano della guerra contro gli insorti islamici di Boko Haram. Diversi attentatori si sono fatti esplodere negli ultimi mesi ai posti di blocco della città presidiata da militari e vigilantes.

* La stampa occidentale definisce queste persone suicide o kamikaze ma nella considerazione islamica il termine usato per definire il loro operato è ?amaliyyit al-istishidiyya, ovvero «operazioni di testimonianza», e chi intende testimoniare in modo anche drammatico la propria fede può essere definito istishidi, persona cioè votata a diventare eventualmente uno shahid.

Nigeria: 22 killed in mosque bombings

Two female bombers blew themselves up inside and outside a busy mosque in Maiduguri.

Nigerian rescue officials say two female bombers have killed at least 22 worshippers in an attack on a mosque. The attack took place on the outskirts of the northeastern city of Maiduguri - the birthplace of the Boko Haram armed group. Abdul Mohammed of the State Emergency Management Agency told The Associated Press news agency that another 17 people were wounded in the explosions early on Wednesday. Coordinator Abba Aji of the civilian self-defence Vigilante Group says one bomber blew up inside the mosque and the second outside as survivors tried to flee. Aji says the mosque is in Umarari on the outskirts of the city that is now the command centre of the Nigerian military's war against Boko Haram Islamic insurgents. Several bombers have exploded themselves in recent months at roadblocks into the city manned by the military and vigilantes.
